Description
Sang Mandeok, recognized as Eskalios Von Ragne Sang Manjin in the religious sect Nox, holds the title of Bishop. Once a wheelchair-bound man diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease 17 years before the main timeline, he wore glasses and a cross pendant, initially projecting a supportive persona that bolstered Park Mu-Bong through personal struggles. Over decades, he transformed into a calculating strategist for Nox, balancing aloofness with relentless ambition.

His appearance shifts across eras: early years featured short white hair, brown eyes, and Ω-adorned attire. Post-Ragnarök, he dons a blue-and-orange coat, red jeans, and light brown boots, his hair grown long and shadowing his face. Later, as Neo Nox’s Bishop, he aids Yu Mira, reflecting his adaptability.

Master of the forbidden "Original Way of Borrowing Power," he summons deities directly, bypassing borrowed strength. This grants teleportation, blade conjuring, shield creation, and limb regeneration through Charyeok, though rapid aging from its use forces dependency on vital-energy injections.

Notable schemes include orchestrating Jeon Jugok’s transformation into a Greed-driven monster, triggering Jeon Jaesan’s vengeful meteor-nuclear counterattack—a strike Mandeok survives despite catastrophic injuries. He later duels members of The Six, confronts Jin Tae-Jin, and navigates Nox’s power struggles, mediating tensions between figures like Yamato and Argo.

His rivalry with Park Mu-Bong thrives on petty disputes over names and one-upmanship, while he defers to Jegal Taek during the latter’s guardianship of the Key. Childhood trauma binds him to his sister, Sang Mansuk, a Nox prophet whose experimental harvesting of his organs fueled her guilt and his lifelong physical frailty.

Post-Ragnarök, Mandeok aligns with Neo Nox under Yu Mira, maintaining his influence through strategic cunning and unyielding loyalty to the organization’s shifting ambitions.
