Description
Gang Manseok represented the capital region in the God of High School tournament, recognized as one of the Three Emperors alongside Jegal Taek and Park Il-Pyo, marking him among South Korea's three strongest fighters. Childhood observations of his father acting tough towards the weak but begging before the strong forged his violent, delinquent personality and an absolute refusal to ever kneel or beg, viewing such acts as weakness.

Previously a street thug, Manseok targeted Jegal Taek, dismissing him as a "country kid." This mistake led Jegal to hospitalize him for thirty weeks. Overwhelmed by failure and breaking his vow by begging Jegal, Manseok considered suicide. Sujin Lee intervened, offering him power through training in Northern ITF Taekwondo. After a year, he sought revenge against Jegal at Busan High School, seriously injuring three hundred students before arrest and imprisonment in Seoul. Even restrained in a straight jacket, he injured two-thirds of the inmates within a day.

A favorite in the tournament's metropolitan preliminaries, Manseok displayed extreme brutality against Go Gamdo, overpowering him effortlessly and ignoring pleas for mercy, fueling Jin Mori's animosity. Facing Mori, Manseok dramatically increased his speed by removing weighted pants, appearing "in the blink of an eye." He suffered a complete, psychologically devastating defeat. This loss transformed his personality, leaving him meek, easily intimidated, and haunted by fear of Mori, often mumbling "Monster." Judge P later helped him partially recover, though he remained subservient around Mori.

Seventeen years post-Ragnarök, Manseok reunited with his revered master, Sujin Lee. He joined her anti-government group, Balhae, serving as a member. He demonstrated unwavering loyalty to Sujin, shielding her from physical threats like falling rocks and assisting her constantly. Within Balhae, he trained the military in Northern ITF Taekwondo, reflecting his ongoing dedication. His appearance retained a strong build and spiky hair, now with light facial hair around his jaw.

Manseok mastered Northern ITF Taekwondo, a warfare-oriented martial art permitting brutal tactics like eye-gouging and strikes below the belt. His physical capabilities included superhuman strength, speed, agility, and endurance. His techniques generated powerful shockwaves; his Front Kick destroyed a tournament ring and later produced a shockwave dwarfing hills in Oraeguk. His combat style featured Wave Reflection, redirecting force-based attacks like Go Gamdo's Tai Chi, and Cutting the Front, the 'original' Front Kick delivering devastating shockwaves through solid ground. His Hyperspeed technique enabled rapid linear movement, increasing the momentum and power of subsequent attacks.

He maintained formidable combat effectiveness even while restraining his arms inside his sweatshirt or wearing a straight jacket and weighted pants, relying primarily on kicks. His endurance allowed him to fight through significant injuries and fatigue.
