Description
Totetsu operates among the Four Perils beneath the demon lord Kirinmaru, driven by an insatiable hunger for human flesh, especially savoring monks considered saints. He locates these targets and boosts his demonic power using an Orange Rainbow Pearl, frequently consulting it while traversing the skies upon a black cloud.

His arsenal includes Consumption for devouring masses; Enhanced Bite capable of rending flesh, wood, metal, rock, and glass; Air Breath projecting a vacuum-like force akin to the Wind Tunnel curse; and Venom Breath manifesting later as toxic blasts. Tao Magic generates black smoke for instantaneous aerial movement. In battle, he wields a sword effective against Setsuna and Towa, and amplifies his strength by swallowing the Orange Rainbow Pearl to create fireballs. His vulnerabilities involve adverse reactions to intense tastes and substances: Towa's habanero sauce, temple wood, Hisui's yōkai taijiya poison powder, Setsuna's poisonous claws, and miasma bugs exploited by Riku.

Totetsu's pursuit begins with tracking the monk-in-training Miroku. Confronted by Towa Higurashi, Setsuna, and Hisui, Miroku removes a seal suppressing Setsuna's demonic blood. Setsuna allows Totetsu to bite her arm, exposing him to her inherited poison. Combined with Towa's assault, this forces his retreat.

Later, recruited by Riku for Konton, Totetsu helps lure Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha into a trap. When Konton's spell falters, Moroha engages and overpowers him. Joined by Towa and Setsuna after Konton's demise, they overwhelm Totetsu, driving him to flee towards Kirinmaru's vessel. Kirinmaru reprimands him for approaching without permission, blasting him from the sky before ordering him away.

His final confrontation occurs on a moonless night, attacking Towa after she becomes fully mortal. Riku intervenes, criticizing the interruption of his interaction with her. At dawn, as Towa regains her powers, Totetsu attempts escape. Riku executes a surprise beheading, claiming the Orange Rainbow Pearl.
