Onikichi, also known as Zōroku, is a farmer from the village oppressed by the forces governing Fushikage Castle. His community endured crushing deprivation, pushed to the brink of starvation by Sakagami Shuzen's policies. Onikichi joined the resistance movement spearheaded by Kagemaru of the Shadow Clan and the disinherited lord Jūtarō Yūki. He actively took part in the villagers' uprising, fighting alongside Kagemaru and Jūtarō during the assault on Fushikage Castle. This attack successfully reclaimed the castle from Shuzen's control, though Shuzen himself escaped during the conflict.
