Rio Mei Long is a character from the *Super Robot Wars Original Generation* series, daughter of Yuan Mei Long, director of Mao Industries' lunar branch. Discovered abandoned in the wilderness, Giado Venerdi and Garnet Sandi rescued and raised her before the events of *Original Generation*.
Employed as an engineer and developer for Mao Industries, Rio contributes to mecha development and technical projects. She pilots the AM Gunner unit, which docks with Ryoto Hikawa's Huckebein MK III during combat operations against the Inspectors, forming their combined unit against enemies like the Mekibos.
In *Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Animation*, Rio serves aboard the *Hagane*, analyzing captured Bartoll units following encounters with antagonistic forces. Her technical expertise aids the investigation into these alien mecha's capabilities and origins during the OVA's events.
