Description
Latooni Subbota, originally designated Latune 11, endured harsh military conditioning and experimental pilot training at The School. Instructor Adler Koch recorded her successful yet troublesome nature. Deemed the sole survivor of the failed Latune-class series, she was presumed dead after her unit crashed during an exercise. Earth Federation Army pilots Giado Venerdi and Garnet Sunday rescued her. Treating her as a daughter, they gave her the surname "Subbota," thematically linking to Giado's "Venerdi" (Friday) and Garnet's "Sunday."

Initially exhibiting severe social withdrawal, depression, and androphobia, Latooni rarely spoke outside duties, often requiring Giado or Garnet as intermediaries. Despite being only 14, she demonstrated exceptional tactical intelligence, analytical abilities enhanced by specialized data-visualizing glasses, and martial arts skills. Her combat proficiency secured her enlistment alongside Giado and Garnet at the Earth Federation Army's Izu Base in Japan.

Assigned to the battleship Hagane during the Divine Crusaders War, Latooni piloted units like the Wildraubtier Schnabel. She confronted her traumatic past by facing Dr. Koch in combat, overcoming this psychological burden with allies' support. During this period, she developed a crush on SRX Team pilot Ryusei Date, gradually reducing her social isolation. Garnet encouraged this openness by dressing Latooni in gothic lolita attire to boost her self-esteem; though initially embarrassing, the outfit received positive reactions, and Hiryu Custom executive officer Sean Webley later mandated its continued use, resolving her androphobia.

Post-war, Latooni became bodyguard to Princess Shine Hausen of Riksent, replacing her analytical glasses with standard or vanity frames at Shine's suggestion. She expressed determination to find other School survivors. Recruited by Kai Kitamura into the reformed Aggressors, she tested the Wild Falken until it was stolen by Neo Divine Crusaders operatives Seolla Schweizer and Arado Balanga—formerly Bronzo 28 and 27 from The School. This theft led to accusations against Latooni, defended by allies. Subsequent battles involved attempts to "rescue" each other; Latooni disabled Arado's mech to save him from Seolla during one engagement. Though briefly reunited, Arado required medical evaluation on the moon. Latooni later aided his efforts to reach Seolla, whose memories were altered. After Seolla rejoined them, they attempted unsuccessfully to save classmate Ouka during the Earth Cradle liberation.

Latooni's relationship with Ryusei fluctuated; she felt jealousy toward SRX Team member Mai Kobayashi but supported their tactical collaborations. An arcade date where she defeated Ryusei at a simulation game caused him embarrassment, shifting his attention toward Mai, though they maintained contact. In later conflicts, such as against the Einst, Latooni participated in missions aboard the Hagane and Hiryuu Custom, continuing her role within the Steel Dragon Battle Group alongside Arado, Seolla, and Lamia Loveless under the Aggressors.

Her development concluded with increased openness, enduring bonds with Giado and Garnet—who left the military to start a family—and solidified camaraderie with former School survivors. She remained an active military pilot, contributing to post-war peacekeeping and alien-threat response operations.
