Arastôru is a demonic entity from Movieland's Underworld, known as Blade Master Arastôru and alternatively as The Midnight Thunderboy or Stylish Arastôru. He manifests as a recurring adversary and occasional ally across multiple narratives, driven solely by an obsessive pursuit of formidable combat encounters. His typical appearance features a humanoid form in purple spandex and lightweight armor, sporting ibex-style horns on his helmet, functional wings, and a pointed tail. The Stylish Arastôru variant presents a human-like visage with pointed ears and spiked black hair, dressed in a black suit with a winged skull-embroidered stole. Exposure to the Black Film transforms him into the bestial Underworld Emperor Arastôru, evoking traits reminiscent of Dante's Devil Trigger form from Devil May Cry.
Initially affiliated with the antagonistic organization Jadow, Arastôru displays complete indifference to their objectives, viewing membership only as a means to access challenging battles. He first encounters the protagonist while disguised as "Another Joe," an imposter designed to test the hero's capabilities. Upon defeat, he reveals his true identity, declaring an arch-rivalry. During this confrontation, he coins the term "Viewtiful" for the protagonist's combat style, directly inspiring the hero's superhero moniker. The battle seemingly ends in his demise, though he later returns, lamenting reduced narrative focus.
In a separate narrative thread, Arastôru attends a Captain Blue film screening with Goldie, Silvia's twin sister. When King Blue abducts Goldie, Arastôru pursues her into Movieland, receiving a V-Watch from Captain Blue to suppress his innate abilities. Throughout this journey, he battles Jadow forces like Charles the Third, Hulk Davidson, and Gran Bruce, progressively acquiring VFX powers—Slow, Mach Speed, and Zoom. His confrontations reveal an evolving dynamic with Goldie; though initially dismissive of her during combat, he intervenes to protect her from King Blue's schemes. After defeating King Blue (revealed as Captain Blue), Arastôru acknowledges collective contentment despite incomplete understanding of the emotional resolutions.
His later reappearances involve interrupting a battle between the protagonist and a Tyrannosaurus Rex samurai to instigate his own duel. Following defeat, the Black Film corrupts him into Underworld Emperor Arastôru, during which he echoes Alastor's dialogue from Devil May Cry and attempts to impale his opponent similarly. After a second defeat, he resurfaces piloting a mecha analogous to Six Majin. In a critical engagement, he intercepts an attack from Queen Heinderella to enable the protagonist's escape, asserting that only he possesses the right to defeat his rival.
The animated adaptation expands his role as a Jadow operative who consistently prioritizes personal combat ideals over organizational goals. He frequently observes the protagonist's missions, cultivating a complex relationship marked by competitive banter and reluctant cooperation, transitioning from adversary to situational ally. During a pivotal confrontation with Fire Leo, he sacrifices himself by dragging the antagonist into a void, vowing survival to settle their rivalry later. This act causes temporary power loss, restored only during a solar eclipse. While depowered, he aids heroes through counsel and tactical support.
Arastôru employs electricity-based techniques and sword maneuvers, including "Round Trip" (projectile blades), "Air Raid" (ground-targeted lightning), and lightning summoned from environmental pillars. His combat style incorporates homages to Devil May Cry, such as the "Ultra Violet Kick" referencing Nelo Angelo and aerial maneuvers accompanied by shouts of "Air Hike!" When playable, his transformation sequence involves the phrase "Devil Trigger." His signature hand gesture—extended index and ring fingers—forms the letter "A" as a counterpart to the protagonist's "V" symbol.
