OVA
Description
Kyoko Aoi owns and commands the Aoi ZIP Formula racing team, directing operations and managing drivers. This includes issuing orders to Bleed Kaga during races, though he famously defied her directive at the Japanese Grand Prix, deliberately retiring. Her leadership confronts a severe crisis in the 2022 season when Aoi Motors corporate executives impose draconian terms: the team must compete with obsolete machinery and faces immediate disbandment unless it captures the championship title, a mandate fueled by corporate fears that GIO Motors' rivalry is tarnishing Aoi's reputation.
Under this immense pressure, Kyoko intervenes upon discovering Kyoshiro Nagumo supplied Kaga with the hazardous prototype Ogre AN-21. She personally confronts Nagumo to condemn Kaga's use of the vehicle. Later, witnessing Kaga's physical collapse from pushing Ogre to its extremes, she attempts to destroy the car before the final race to avert further danger. Kaga, however, convinces her to permit his participation. After Kaga secures the championship and exits Cyber Formula, Kyoko resigns her ownership of Aoi ZIP Formula, seeking a new driver capable of filling his role. Her resignation culminates in a disheartened reaction to Kaga's departure from Japan, marking the end of her direct involvement with the team.
