Description
Henri Claytor, alternatively known as Henri Clayton, emerges as a French Cyber Formula driver debuting in the 13th Cyber Formula World Grand Prix. The son of a motorsport driver who abandoned him following Hayato Kazami’s historic championship win at age 14, his youth was shaped by relentless parental expectations and a lingering resentment toward Kazami. This grudge became the driving force behind his early career, propelling him to replace Albert Giacometti at Theodolite T.T. in 2017. There, he notched the team’s sole points of the season while orchestrating Kazami’s crash at the British Grand Prix.
Following Theodolite T.T.’s collapse in 2018, Claytor joined Sugo Grand Prix, piloting the Garland SF-01. His feud with Kazami escalated as he employed calculated manipulation, notably fabricating assault evidence during the African Grand Prix to provoke penalties against his rival. He clinched his maiden championship title in the 2018 season’s Japanese finale, narrowly avoiding a rain-induced spin with unexpected aid from Kazami—a pivotal moment that tempered his trajectory. Despite this triumph, inconsistent results with the upgraded Garland SF-03 between 2020 and 2022 led to his 2023 transfer to Missing Link.
Known for blending ruthless precision with covert tactics, Claytor often deployed banana peel-like devices to sabotage rivals mid-race. His dynamic with Kazami gradually shifted from venomous antagonism to a fraught rivalry punctuated by sporadic collaboration. While his initial ambitions centered on dethroning Kazami, later seasons exposed challenges in sustaining dominance, ultimately driving his pursuit of resurgence through a fresh team alliance.
