OVA
Description
Bergamot hails from the magical realm of Evergreen, becoming a fugitive after eloping with the human Emi Hiiragi. They build a life on Earth managing the Angel Kiss café and raising their daughter, Chihaya Hiiragi. Persuaded by Fennel, Bergamot steals five dangerous magical seeds from Evergreen's vault; sent to Earth, these seeds bind to humans, amplify their desires, and transform them into monsters.
After the theft, Bergamot returns to Earth alongside Septem, who poses as transfer student Emi Kojima. To protect Chihaya from Fennel's schemes, Bergamot works undercover as a teacher at her school under the alias Jounouchi. His motivations center on atoning for the seed theft and shielding his family, complicated by Septem's unrequited love for him and his lingering attachment to his deceased wife, Emi Hiiragi, whom Septem resembles.
In the non-hentai anime series, Bergamot allies with Septem to counter Fennel and Calendula's efforts to corrupt Chihaya/Carmein, positioning him protectively. Conversely, the original OVA adaptation depicts him as a villain collaborating with Fennel.
Bergamot's arc concludes with efforts to neutralize the seed threat and ensure Chihaya's safety, though his actions inadvertently contribute to Calendula's destruction when Fennel overloads her with seeds. In the sequel visual novel *Magical Kanan 2 ~Hiiro no Bergamot~*, set one year later, Bergamot's ongoing surveillance of the human world is disrupted by lost contact with monitoring units, hinting at his continued involvement in interdimensional affairs.
