Asti is a wind dragon distinguished by a red forehead jewel with mystical powers and brown horns storing nutrients. This jewel amplifies its abilities through Asti's spirit of service, enabling control over pleasant winds. It progresses through distinct life stages: the egg defends itself with horns; the hatch employs its jewel for basic wind magic; the hatchling flies winglessly using wind protection; the adult develops larger horns and a color-matching veil and antennae for long-distance flight.

Inherently gentle and self-sacrificial, Asti dedicates itself to protecting weaker creatures, generating warm or cool winds to aid them. However, witnessing death or abandonment can trigger the Fury special action, transforming Asti into Dark Asti. This form alters its appearance and abilities and is only possible when dead or abandoned dragons are present. Dark Asti reverts to its default state via the Relax action once no deceased dragons remain.

Historically, Asti defended the Temple of Light against dark forces, shielding priests and using its jewel's red light to subdue enemies until exhaustion. This sacrifice led to the Wind Temple's construction, featuring a stone statue in its honor. A subspecies, Arca Asti, inhabits Arca's Rim.

Ecologically, Asti is herbivorous, storing nutrients in its horns. It often eats too little, resulting in a skinny physique. Its horns produce gentle wind sounds when approached. Game mechanics involve obtaining Undead Dragons by enraging Asti during dragon abandonment. An adult Asti is required to complete Page 3 of the Yutakan Tale "Totem Dragon."

Completing the Dragon Book entry for Asti requires documenting both its Default and Dark Asti forms. Owning 100 adult Astis grants the Asti Mania badge. Unused game files indicate planned but unimplemented Dark Asti hatch and hatchling stages.
