Ryohei Hachiya, nicknamed "Hachibee," is an elementary school student driven by an intense desire to achieve fame, specifically his coveted "ten minutes of fame." He pursues this goal alongside his two friends, Sankichi and Shotaro. Together, this trio forms a core investigative group. They actively devise plans to investigate city crimes, gathering evidence, interviewing potential witnesses, and identifying suspects. Hachibee intends to turn their collected evidence over to a television station, central to his strategy for gaining public attention. Beyond this core trio, Hachibee, Sankichi, and Shotaro also cooperate with three female classmates: Keiko, Yoko, and Yumiko. This broader group collectively works towards supporting Hachibee's dream of widespread recognition.
