Description
Matsugorō Naniwa, a takoyaki chef from Osaka, runs his own takoyaki stand. He develops romantic feelings for Mari Oaya, the homeroom teacher of the main characters.
His pivotal development unfolds in the film "Suki Suki Hot Tako Yaki." The antagonist Rivar steals Matsugorō's "takoyaki soul" to prevent him from making the dish, aiming to please Mimora, who dislikes takoyaki. This theft causes Matsugorō to lose his culinary passion and identity. During Honmaru and Taruruto's magical battle against Rivar to retrieve the soul, an accidental fusion occurs between the takoyaki soul and a rat. This creates the hybrid entity "Chuugoro," leading to a confrontation where the protagonists must restore Matsugorō's original spirit and skills.
Outside the main series, Matsugorō makes a cameo appearance in the crossover video game "Famicom Jump II: Saikyō no Shichinin" alongside other franchise characters.
