Description
Kinoko Sarada is a toddler living in Penguin Village. Her Japanese name means "Salad Mushroom," a theme mirrored by her mushroom-shaped house. Daily, she rides her tricycle and derides others for fashion blunders, showcasing a rude, vain, and haughty demeanor. She nurses jealousy toward Arale Norimaki over Arale’s strength and popularity, causing Kinoko to trail her sporadically despite overall intolerance.

During her debut in "Kids Gone Wild," Kinoko mocks Arale and Gatchan’s outdated looks but escorts them to her house for makeovers. Their transformed appearances later startle Senbei Norimaki. She resurfaces in *Dragon Ball*’s "General Blue Saga," riding her tricycle as Goku pursues Blue; Goku subsequently questions her about Blue’s location. Kinoko also appears briefly in *Dragon Ball Super* episode 69.

In the 1997 *Dr. Slump* remake, her attire and ribbon colors differ from the original. Arale demolishes Kinoko’s house by crashing into it during the series’ first episode. Kinoko features in a live-action commercial for fashion brand GU, standing beside Akane Kimidori with Gatchan flying overhead.

Her Penguin Village interactions include a contentious dynamic with Arale—marked by envy yet occasional reluctant collaboration. The Kanariya High Gang Leader once proposes marriage to Kinoko; her pleased expression hints at a possible crush. In another encounter, she misinterprets Obotchaman’s approach as a date invitation but storms off offended when he inquires only about Arale.

Trivia notes her blood type as A. An early English translation altered her surname to "Salad" before reverting to "Sarada" in later material. Her role remains consistent as a minor, static character across official media, defined by fashion-focused mockery and fleeting engagements.
