This attire leads Yuna to initially mistake her for an exhibitionist or sex worker; Atla expresses no shame, openly stating she dresses this way because it pleases men.

Despite her unconventional presentation, Atla holds strong moral principles and dedication to Millela's residents. She despises exploitation and condemns the Commerce Guild for inflating food prices during the town's hardship. Stress over the crisis drives her to rely on alcohol to function, yet she exhausts all resources to support the townspeople as an effective leader.

Millela faces severe threats from bandits and a kraken blocking fishing vessels, causing food shortages that cripple the economy and strain her guild. Atla initially doubts Yuna's capabilities when she arrives. However, they collaborate after Yuna provides wolf meat to ease the shortage and captures thieves. This leads them to uncover evidence implicating Commerce Guild Master Zarrad in orchestrating the bandit attacks and profiteering, prompting Atla to order his arrest.

Atla later assists Yuna in confronting and defeating the kraken. Observing Yuna create a tunnel to Crimonia primarily for seafood access, Atla coordinates with Crimonia's lord, Cliff Foschurose, to enforce a constructive punishment: directing Yuna to expand the tunnel into a secure merchant passage, facilitating trade between the towns.

Her relationship with Yuna evolves from initial skepticism to mutual respect and gratitude. While Yuna expresses ongoing concern about Atla's attire, Atla appreciates Yuna's critical assistance in saving Millela from human and monstrous threats. Her interactions with Zarrad remain strictly adversarial, culminating solely in his arrest after his crimes are exposed.
