Description
Lunlun Flower, a 15-year-old orphan, grows up under the care of her grandparents in their French flower shop. Her lineage traces back to her late mother, a descendant of Flower Star’s mystical inhabitants, which binds her to this otherworldly realm. Charged with finding the legendary Seven Color Flower to crown the Flower Star’s new ruler, she journeys across Europe and North Africa alongside two emissaries: Nouveau, a sagacious dog, and Cateau, a cunning cat.
Brash and spirited by nature, she balances her tomboyish demeanor with unwavering empathy, aiding strangers confronting personal hardships. A magical Flower Key pin, bestowed by Flower Star’s monarch, enables her to shapeshift into specialized outfits—each granting skills vital to her mission. After a near-fatal accident shatters the pin, Flower Star’s spirits replace it with a more potent version, warning that its loss or destruction would sever her earthly existence.
Her quest is persistently thwarted by Togenishia, a power-hungry fairy, and her inept partner, Yabouki. Meanwhile, Serge, an enigmatic photographer, assists Lunlun by scattering flower seeds that embody the wisdom gained from those she aids. These seeds, nurtured by her grandparents, unexpectedly blossom into the Seven Color Flower within their garden.
Though her bond with Serge deepens into romance, she declines his proposal to rule Flower Star, choosing her earthly life. Serge abandons his throne to stay beside her, solidifying their shared path. The story intertwines themes of ecological care, empathy, and identity, with Lunlun’s interventions frequently healing fractured landscapes.
Her journey reveals vulnerabilities—struggling with deceit or parental absence—and triumphs, such as facing foes or ethical challenges. Each episodic adventure chronicles her maturation through varied encounters, culminating in the revelation that her sought-after prize lay close all along.
