Kumayuru, also known as Swaying Bear, is a summoned beast companion originating from Yuna's skill acquired after defeating the Goblin King. This skill grants Yuna simultaneous access to summon Kumayuru and Kumakyuu (Hugging Bear), alongside the Kuma Map functionality.

Manifesting as a black bear, Kumayuru typically appears as a large adult bear but can shrink to a compact cub-like size. Regardless of form, it retains a cute teddy bear appearance with black fur and blue eyes.

Personality-wise, Kumayuru exhibits possessiveness over Yuna's attention, visibly sulking when she favors Kumakyuu. Though often perceived as more outgoing, it maintains a strong bond with Kumakyuu, frequently playing together during breaks outside their puppet forms.

Functionally, Kumayuru serves as a powerful combatant and transportation mount, demonstrating exceptional speed and formidable fighting prowess to effortlessly defeat adversaries. It inherently senses proximate danger to alert Yuna. An enchantment prevents riders from accidentally falling off, while a protective energy field generated during high-speed movement nullifies wind pressure. After consuming Bearmonite, Kumayuru gained enhanced strength, speed, toughness, and magical capabilities.

Kumayuru's primary relationship is with summoner Yuna, who frequently uses it to transport companions like Fina and Noire or combat threats like bandits. It shares a cooperative dynamic with Kumakyuu during rest periods and comfortably interacts with Yuna's close associates—including Fina, Noire, Shuri, Shia, Flora, Eleanora, Cattleya, and Misana—allowing rides or cuddles. Initial tension with figures like Cliff Foschurose eventually developed into rapport.

Kumayuru is generally considered stronger than Kumakyuu, though both possess considerable strength in their respective capacities.
