Description
Gênio is a supernatural entity confined within a magic lamp, bound to grant wishes to whoever summons him. His defining characteristic is extreme ailurophobia, an intense fear of cats that renders him completely powerless in their presence. This phobia becomes central when he is accidentally released by a servant cleaning the lamp for Ali Baba the 33rd, a descendant of the original Ali Baba who has exhausted the family fortune.

To exploit Gênio's wish-granting powers for personal gain, Ali Baba the 33rd commands the capture and imprisonment of every cat in the kingdom, as eliminating felines is the sole condition for Gênio to operate without fear. The genie's presence and crippling phobia thus inadvertently instigate the primary conflict: the mass cat imprisonment provokes the protagonist Huck, a descendant of the original forty thieves' leader, to rally thirty-eight cats and form a new group of forty thieves, aiming to reclaim his ancestors' stolen treasure.

Gênio's origins beyond his lamp confinement, his specific motivations, and any character development during or after the film's events remain undocumented. Verified appearances or developments for this character exist solely within the original 1971 animated feature.
