Hipo, Pero's "hippo pal," appears exclusively in the 1976 film *Nagagutsu o Haita Neko 80 Nichikan Sekai Isshū* (*Puss ‘N Boots Travels Around The World*). He joins Pero (referred to as "Pushty" in this film) as a companion on a global journey. When Pero accepts Sir Rumblehog's challenge to circumnavigate the globe in 80 days, Hipo departs alongside him and the loyal mice. The group travels together in Pero's self-designed boat throughout the adventure.
