Known as a flirtatious figure with a penchant for voyeurism, he wields a telescope under the pretence of stargazing while regularly directing it toward neighboring women. His romantic pursuits fixate on Keiko Seki, the composed manager of Myōjō High School’s baseball team, who rebuffs his advances with visible contempt.

A third baseman for the school team, Shin balances athletic dedication with his brash persona. This boldness falters, however, in the presence of cats—a phobia starkly at odds with his otherwise audacious demeanor. His relentless, fruitless efforts to charm Keiko punctuate interactions with peers, fueling comedic friction through their one-sided dynamic.
