Description
Lecca Lin, known personally as Burnt Tayl, functioned as a supporting character unique to the anime adaptation. She operated as a Processor within the Sixth Platoon of the Spearhead Squadron, commanded by Kurena Kukumila.

Her assignment to the squadron commenced on April 1st, RY 367. She engaged in routine squadron duties, updating personnel files alongside Myna and Mikuri. On April 5th, she attended a formation celebration marked by a cherry blossom party and stargazing. Daily interactions included witnessing Shinei Nouzen assist Kurena on April 22nd, and joining Kaie and Haruto to interrogate the autonomous drone Fido about edible food on May 1st.

Combat defined her experience through multiple engagements with the Spearhead Squadron. She survived the May 22nd battle against the Legion that claimed Kujo's life. On May 29th, she reacted with amusement to the Handler's surprise at their tactical foresight. Later, during a resonance session with the Handler, she grew somber when the Handler questioned Shinei's future after service.

Socially, she maintained close bonds within the squadron. Sharing quarters with Kurena, she frequently teased her about her feelings for Shinei. Recreational downtime often found her with Myna and Mikuri. On June 13th, she participated in reprimanding Daiya, Haruto, and Theo for intruding during laundry activities. She later joined Anju for knitting sessions and laughed at Kaie's joke concerning the Handler.

Further combat ensued. She survived the June 15th battle that took Kaie's life. The next day, she joined Kurena and Anju confronting Theo about his mood, noting his characteristic buttoning style. On June 24th, she displayed visible distress upon hearing Kaie's voice among the Legion forces.

Her final mission occurred on July 27th. Passing the site of their cherry blossom party prompted reminiscing. In combat, Skorpion artillery fire critically damaged her Juggernaut, destroying its leg and immobilizing it. Faced with imminent assimilation by an approaching Ameise unit, she chose to end her life with her sidearm. This act made her the squadron's seventh recorded casualty.

Her relationships revealed squadron dynamics. She expressed puzzlement over Fido's ability to identify inedible food. Regarding Shinei, she initially misinterpreted his emblem due to neck scars and anticipated working with him despite his inexpressive detachment; her final words entrusted the squadron's survival to him. Toward Handler Vladilena Milizé, she held preconceptions about Alba handlers' fragility.

Additional details include her association with the Dahlia flower in bonus materials, and the origin of her personal name referencing a female will-o'-the-wisp figure.
