TV-Series
Description
Goro Hoshiwatari, nicknamed Goyo, is an adolescent driven to find his father, Daigo Hoshiwatari, who vanished fifteen years earlier during the explosion of his own dimensional tunnel transport center. Armed only with an old photograph, Goro joins the space tourism company Yamamoto Anshin Travel (YAT) to pursue his search. Shortly after arrival, an accident he is blamed for causes significant damage to a YAT spaceship. Forced to work off this debt as a mechanic and janitor, he remains with YAT while continuing his quest.

He exhibits a strong sense of righteousness and bravery, frequently intervening to protect others or confront injustice due to his chronic hero syndrome. This impulsiveness often leads him into danger without assessing risks. Goro develops deep, unrequited feelings for Katsura Tenjoin, the adopted daughter of YAT's captain, forming a central emotional thread. His focus on Katsura causes him to consistently rebuff the persistent romantic advances of Kanea Marigold, heiress to rival company Gentleman of the Cosmos. His spiky, crab-like hair is frequently noted.

Raised solely by his mother, Haruka, after his father's disappearance, Goro possesses a determined personality. Locating his father remains his primary motivation, driving his actions as YAT travels through galaxies. During these journeys, he uncovers clues about his father's fate, eventually learning Daigo was absorbed into another dimension during the tunnel accident, where time flowed differently.

Six months after the first season's events, Goro continues working with YAT in the second season. The crew is transported to a distant universe by scientist Professor Note, where they face adversaries like Emperor Ganon, who seeks to exploit Note's teleportation technology. Goro participates in thwarting Ganon's plans and protecting the professor, supporting his colleagues during Captain Yamamoto's temporary moral decline. His relationship with Katsura evolves, culminating in a confession of his feelings near the series' conclusion.

Goro reconciles his impulsive heroism with a growing sense of responsibility towards the YAT crew and passengers. Resolving his father's disappearance and opening up emotionally to Katsura mark significant points in his arc. His hot-blooded nature, unwavering determination, and distinctive physical traits remain consistent identifiers.
