Description
Monkey Momo began life as a squirrel monkey born December 1, 1992. Highly curious and adventurous, her antics often troubled her pet shop owner. She formed a deep bond with a young girl who visited frequently, a connection facilitated by Gorō Mutsumi during his part-time work. Gorō arranged for the girl to care for Momo secretly, bypassing her parents' ban on pets. When the girl's parents discovered this and stopped her visits, Momo became lonely. During rain, she escaped the shop searching for the girl, climbed an electric pole, and died from electrocution. This death left lasting fears: electrophobia and technophobia.

Reincarnated as a guardian angel, Momo appears as a 9-year-old girl, 124 cm tall, with brown as her symbolic color; her hairstyle visually references a monkey's tail. Initially shy, delicate, polite, and sensitive, she cries easily and struggles to articulate her thoughts. This reserved nature stems from her past life, where her outgoing curiosity ended tragically. She demonstrates good manners, a strong sense of right and wrong, and a desire to make others happy. Despite her fears, she enjoys learning and values companionship with fellow guardian angels. Over time, she develops deeper self-confidence and courage, gradually learning to express her feelings.

Holding a Junior rank initially, Momo advances to Intermediate rank in the second season. She shares close bonds with other angels, especially Lulu and Nana. With Lulu, Momo shows empathy, offering hugs during distress and avoiding retaliation in arguments. With Nana, she acts as a peacemaker during conflicts. Momo views the older angel Yuki as a maternal figure, often seeking comfort through hugs. Her relationship with her master, Gorō Mutsumi, evolves significantly; initially shy and eager to please him while hiding perceived flaws, she later develops romantic feelings for him. She attends the same elementary school as Daisuke, a neighborhood boy she harbors a crush on, causing embarrassment when teased by Lulu and Nana. She experiences confusion differentiating romantic love from platonic admiration, particularly regarding Daisuke versus Gorō.

In the second season, Momo exhibits increased maturity. She participates in a covert operation with Lulu and Nana, posing as Gorō's daughters to protect the angels' secret identities, requiring greater emotional resilience and discretion. Her physical proportions change slightly between seasons, reflecting subtle growth. A notable developmental detail involves her experiencing menstruation at a young age, indicating early puberty. Her journey highlights a transition from timidity to tentative self-assurance, though her core traits of sensitivity and empathy remain consistent.
