Description
Julie Brendel, first called Jeudi, is a young girl who was the only survivor of a plane crash in the Swiss Alps, discovered by a boy named Randy. The trauma left her with complete amnesia, erasing all memories of her life before the accident.

Randy gave her the name Jeudi, French for Thursday. She was raised alongside him, and the two formed a deep bond as they grew up. Her constant companion is a pet cockatoo named Printemps, who survived the crash with her and remained by her side throughout her life.

Her central motivation is the search for her original identity, guided primarily by a single clue: a song called “Alpen Rose” that lingers persistently in her memory. This personal quest unfolds against the rising tensions in Europe on the brink of World War II.

At around sixteen years old, she draws the dangerous interest of Count George de Germont, an aristocrat with Nazi ties. Mistaking her for a former love, the Count takes her forcibly to his castle. This act triggers a rescue and a swift escape from their village with Randy, forcing them into a life on the run.

Her pursuit of the past eventually leads to the discovery of her true identity as Alicia Brendel, daughter of Helene and Friedrich Brendel. Her maternal grandfather is Jacques Dunant, a relation of Henry Dunant, linking her family to the founding of the Red Cross. This heritage made her a target for figures like Michel Tronchant, an arms dealer who sought to control the Dunant family's influence. Tronchant sent his own daughter, Matilda, to impersonate the real Alicia Brendel.

Her development traces a path from a vulnerable, amnesiac child to a resolute individual confronting profound personal and external conflicts. Together with Randy, she must evade persistent threats from Count de Germont and the perils of a world at war, all while striving to reconstruct the fragments of her lost history.
