Description
Sorakage, the Golden Ninja, is a Brave robot hailing from planet Legendra in the Golden Galaxy. He operates as one of the Gold Braves within the Legendra Braves team. Utilizing the Golden Ninja Arts technique Great Sky Shapeshift, he transforms into a hawk alternate mode, optimizing him for speed and stealth missions. His system interfaces and data analysis exclusively utilize kanji characters, solidifying his ninja theme.
Sorakage favors independent action over teamwork, frequently ignoring direct orders from his masters. This self-reliance, coupled with an arrogant and cocky attitude, often creates friction with teammates, occasionally necessitating master intervention to resolve conflicts.
In combat, Sorakage wields specialized weaponry: the back-mounted Kage-Launcher (a five-tube missile launcher), forearm-deployed shurikens for ranged attacks, and the Hishouken katana as his primary close-combat weapon. The Hishouken stores in a back sheath during inactivity and functions as his tail in hawk mode. He also employs a kusarigama for mid-range combat. His Midare-Uchi technique unleashes numerous shurikens at high speed to overwhelm opponents, first seen in Episode 25.
Sorakage awakened when Takuya Harashima retrieved his Power Stone from Egeress's abandoned castle, following a collaborative effort by the Braves to unlock their emotions and recall the stone's location. Shortly after activation, demonstrating commitment, he combined with Goldran to form Sky Goldran, granting the previously flight-limited Goldran aerial mobility. This combination transferred Sorakage's Kage-Launcher to Sky Goldran. While capable of combining with Leon Kaiser to create Sky Leon Kaiser, this form remains unrealized in animation and exists solely as a toy concept.
Beyond his primary combination, Sorakage contributes his components to the larger Great Goldran formation alongside Goldran and Leon Kaiser. This five-robot combination represents one of the Brave series' most complex, highlighting his strategic importance despite his lone-wolf nature.
No concrete information exists regarding his appearances or development in movies, OVAs, spin-offs, or other extended media beyond the original television series.
