Description
Dr. Godheid (alternatively spelled Godoy regionally) begins as a brilliant scientist within Earth's scientific community. Betrayed professionally by his mentor, Dr. Blueheim, he is plunged into disillusionment, resulting in his exile to the Moon colony—a settlement serving as Earth's dumping ground for industrial waste and deported criminals, breeding deep-seated resentment among its inhabitants.
Exploiting this discontent, Dr. Godheid unites the exiles into the Rebel Army, assuming leadership. Leveraging his scientific genius, he engineers mass-produced combat robots designated "Black Bear," constituting the rebellion's core military force against Earth's governing body, the Earth Federation or Earth Confederation. The rebellion's initial offensive, a missile strike targeting an Earth Federation teleportation experiment, directly triggers the freak accident that materializes the virtual robot Laserion into reality.
Initially the central antagonist, Dr. Godheid orchestrates sustained assaults on Earth during the conflict's early phase. His prominence wanes significantly after the extraterrestrial Jack Empire's arrival around episode 26. Acknowledging their superior power, he forges a pragmatic alliance, merging his Rebel Army with their invasion. This pact leads to the imprisonment of his former followers on the Moon base, with key lieutenants like Inspire absorbed into the Jack Empire's command. While the Jack Empire ascends as the primary threat, Dr. Godheid's actions and technological contributions, particularly the Black Bear robots, remain a foundational element of the ongoing conflict against Earth's defenders.
