Description
Chang Changku, known as Cyborg 006, hails from China with origins shifting across narratives. In the 2001 anime, he ran a restaurant until a fire-breathing stunt for patrons accidentally incinerated his business and home. Crushed by despair, he collapsed and was seized by Black Ghost operatives. Earlier versions present him as a destitute pig farmer pushed toward starvation-induced suicide by oppressive taxes; a Black Ghost bullet cut his noose mid-attempt, enabling his capture for their experiments.

Black Ghost converted him into a cyborg, granting fire-breathing prowess reaching 3,000 degrees Celsius—enough to liquefy solid rock. This power facilitates rapid underground tunneling and explosive subterranean assaults. The OVA "Conclusion: GOD'S WAR" amplified his abilities, allowing pyrokinetic manipulation to forge constructs like fire dragons against foes.

Jovial and warm-hearted, he bolsters team morale through humor. His exceptional culinary flair lets him cook anywhere, using his flames to prepare even unconventional ingredients like cave bats. He eagerly shares cooking techniques with fellow cyborgs, blending levity with occasional sternness during lessons. His rapport with Cyborg 007 (Great Britain) thrives on comedic clashes and bedrock trust, offsetting their divergent natures.

After Black Ghost's downfall, he launched a Tokyo Chinese restaurant, drawing on his pre-cyborg history as both restaurateur and farmer. His visual design evolved in adaptations, shifting notably from a red uniform to deep blue in "Conclusion: GOD'S WAR." Though primarily supportive, he displays solemn resolve when championing culinary principles or facing direct threats.
