Description
Francoise Arnoul, designated Cyborg 003, originates from France. Before her cybernetic transformation, she pursued a career as a ballet dancer. The Black Ghost organization recruited her via kidnapping, with variations in her capture: she was either abducted before her brother Jean-Paul during a train station meeting or deceived by a fraudulent professional dancing opportunity. Chronologically older than her appearance suggests, she underwent cryogenic suspension after initial modifications and was approximately 19 years old at the time of capture.

As a cyborg, she possesses enhanced sensory capabilities including exceptional vision to see through solid objects and across vast distances, and acute hearing enabling long-range auditory detection. These enhancements initially triggered severe sensory overload, overwhelming her in combat. Unlike most teammates, she lacks inherent combat weaponry and functions primarily in reconnaissance, communication, and technical support roles. Through team experiences, she develops proficiency as a pilot, technician, and mechanic. Her responsibilities often include coordinating missions under Dr. Gilmore's oversight and providing care for the infant cyborg Ivan Whisky (Cyborg 001).

Her character development involves evolving team relationships, including a significant emotional connection with Joe Shimamura (Cyborg 009), frequently depicted with romantic undertones. Compassionate and preferring peaceful resolutions, her personality contrasts with combat engagements. During the "Conclusion: GOD'S WAR" storyline, Ivan unlocks latent psychic abilities within the cyborg team, granting Francoise clairvoyance to witness distant events, precognition to foresee future events, and telepathy. Her iconic visual design consistently features long blonde hair, green eyes, and a distinctive yellow scarf. In "GOD'S WAR" and related adaptations, her standard red costume is replaced by a blue outfit. Her cybernetic physiology renders her ageless, maintaining her physical appearance unchanged since capture.
