Description
Cyborg 007, nicknamed "Great Britain" or abbreviated "G.B." in English dubs, began life as a popular human stage actor in England. His pursuit of fame led him to abandon his girlfriend Sophie, resulting in disgrace and severe alcoholism. Destitute and intoxicated, he was lured by Black Ghost agents using premium Scotch, captured, and forcibly converted into a cyborg in their labs.

Designated Cyborg 007, he was engineered as an infiltrator and stealth operative. His core ability is cellular rearrangement, activated via a switch on his belly button. This power enables him to shapeshift into any person, animal, or object; alter his size from rodent-small to giant proportions; camouflage by blending into surroundings; and even mimic materials like stone or metal by changing his atomic structure. His acting background aids in mimicking speech and mannerisms for espionage, though his performances can be imperfect. An OVA upgrade later granted him astral projection to possess and control others.

Physically, he appears as a tall, bald man with large eyes, a prominent nose, and a gangling frame. His signature attire is a red double-breasted military uniform with black boots and a holstered "Super Gun." In civilian settings, he wears collared shirts with ties—such as light olive-green or pink—paired with dark trousers.

His personality blends outward joviality with deep internal regret. He frequently employs humor and literary quotes (like Shakespeare) to diffuse tension, acting as the team's comic relief partly to shield others from his own past depression. Beneath this facade, he harbors intense guilt over abandoning Sophie. His alcoholism resurfaces during high-stress events like "London Fogs" and "Conclusion: GOD'S WAR." He shares a contentious yet mutually respectful bond with teammate Chang Changku (006), often bickering but relying on him in missions. His chivalry manifests in risking himself to save antagonist Cyborg 0012, whom he loved despite her Black Ghost allegiance. A later storyline sees him confront his past when meeting Sophie's daughter Rosa, who offers redemption through performing in "Mists of London"—a play originally intended for Sophie.

In "009 RE:CYBORG," he undertakes intelligence gathering for MI6, reflecting his espionage skills and James Bond-inspired codename. Across various media, including "Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman," he participates in major conflicts against foes like Mythos Cyborgs, High-Teen Numbers, and demonic entities. In combat, he utilizes his elasticity—stretching limbs to bind enemies or scale terrain—while providing tactical support through infiltration and reconnaissance.
