Description
Emperor Zambajil, born the illegitimate son of the previous Boazanian emperor and a mistress, endured significant childhood humiliation over his heritage, fueling his ambition to seize the throne. When succession for the 124th emperor arose, he orchestrated a plot against the rightful heir, his cousin La Gohl (later Kentaro Goh on Earth). Zambajil exposed La Gohl's concealed lack of horns—a critical trait in Boazania's caste system where horned individuals held elite status—resulting in La Gohl's public humiliation, banishment, and the loss of his wife Lozaria. Zambajil then assumed the throne, though La Gohl later led a failed rebellion before escaping to Earth.

Zambajil's rule enforced extreme racism and a brutal caste system, enslaving hornless Boazanians while exploiting horned nobles as pawns. Despite presenting himself as a champion of horned superiority, he oppressed all Boazanians, imprisoning or executing dissenters. His paranoia fixated on potential rivals, especially his nephew Prince Heinel, La Gohl's son and the legitimate heir. To eliminate Heinel, Zambajil dispatched him to lead the Earth invasion, secretly ordering subordinates like Duke Zaki and General Gurul to sabotage or assassinate him, including exiling Heinel after military setbacks and blaming him for failures.

Driven by expansionist ambitions, Zambajil sought to conquer Earth to bolster his empire's resources and slave labor. He coerced the exiled La Gohl into returning to Boazania by threatening Earth's safety, then imprisoned him for refusing to develop weapons. Under Zambajil's command, Boazanian forces devastated Earth with advanced technology like Beast Knights and flying saucers, though campaigns were repeatedly thwarted by Voltes V.

Zambajil's downfall began when Voltes V and the rebel spaceship Big Falcon reached Boazania. They freed La Gohl and exposed Zambajil's atrocities, inciting widespread rebellion among both horned and hornless Boazanians. As loyalists deserted, Zambajil panicked and attempted to flee with stolen riches. Cornered by Heinel—now aware of his uncle's betrayal—Zambajil was killed as retribution for his tyranny. His accidental drop of a grenade during the confrontation triggered an explosion that destroyed the imperial castle. Following his death, La Gohl was restored as emperor.

Zambajil remained consistently cowardly, resorting to manipulation and cruelty when challenged, exhibiting no redemption and maintaining a focus on self-preservation and despotic control until his demise.
