When performance fell short of his expectations, Sakunji confiscated the team's personal belongings as distractions, an action culminating in the disposal of Kenichi's sharpshooting medal. This provoked open rebellion; the entire team abandoned their posts, defying Sakunji's orders to seek General Oka's return. A pivotal shift occurred during an attack by the Beast Fighter Zaizarusu.
