Description
Teixó, identified as a raccoon dog or tanuki, arrives at the cellist's on the third night. Carrying a drumstick, he proposes practicing the timpani alongside the cello. During their session, he points out a technical flaw: despite the cellist's effort to play quickly, the tempo feels slow. Teixó gently taps the cello with his drumstick as they play. Their nocturnal practice focuses on accompanying "The Merry Master of a Coach Station," continuing throughout the night. At daybreak, the encounter concludes peacefully, with both parting on positive terms. This visitation aids the cellist's technical development, specifically in tempo and rhythmic precision.
