Description
Ganko is a blacksmith in a fishing village threatened by Grunwald's forces. He deeply admires the transformative process of metalworking, finding red-hot iron beautiful but hardened iron even more so. Initially skeptical of outsiders like Horus, he shares the wariness common among some villagers. As grandfather to Potom, the village chief's son, Ganko urges his grandson to move beyond complaints and take constructive action, reflecting his practical and proactive nature. His familial ties connect him directly to the village's hardships; he is father-in-law to Hellenthal, whose husband Mola was killed by the giant pike terrorizing their fishing grounds.

Ganko's role expands significantly after Horus slays the pike. His blacksmithing expertise becomes crucial when Horus requires help reforging the Sword of the Sun. Ganko assesses the sword and agrees to harden it. During the village's final defense against Grunwald's assault, Ganko actively participates in reforging the Sword of the Sun, utilizing the intense heat from the fires set for the village's protection. This act leverages his craft for the community's survival and marks his shift from initial skepticism to committed participation in the collective fight.
