Description
Bud Mint hails from the Bird Tribe in the northern hemisphere, where inhabitants involuntarily morph into anthropomorphized beasts. His specific transformation into a humanoid bird is triggered by goosebumps, extreme anger, or provocations like bird toys or physical contact such as Wan Derbard licking his face, representing one unique involuntary shapeshifting trigger among the Beast tribes.

His grandfather leads the Bird Tribe and exhibits Eagleland characteristics, including attire resembling Uncle Sam and using Gratuitous English. Bud similarly incorporates Gratuitous English into his speech and displays an affably arrogant demeanor. He frequently adopts a Casanova Wannabe persona, attempting to charm women, though these efforts are consistently interrupted or undermined, particularly by Yuuni Password or his recurring comedic misfortunes.

He forms the Power Trio, the Beast Musketeers, alongside Wan Derbard and Mei Mer. Initially captured by humans from the southern hemisphere, they escape with help from Yuuni Password and her grandfather. Together, they journey seeking Gaia, believed to be a legendary treasure. During this quest, Bud commands the bird-like Sky Totem, one of three Jinn statues that combine with the other Beast Musketeers' Jinn and Yuuni's ball to form a Humongous Mecha.

His personality blends bravado and loyalty. He often declares himself "the strongest there is," reflecting his confidence. While he exhibits strategic thinking during combat, leveraging his intelligence to aid the group, his role primarily involves comedic interactions. He endures Wan Derbard's extreme hunger-driven aggression, positioning him as a recurring target due to Wan's feral episodes when starved. Agents of the southern humans' leader, Czar Master (Uranus) – V-Darn, V-Sion, and Akumako – pursue Bud and his companions.
