Description
Lady Khan emerges as the central antagonist in the 1984 *Locke the Superman* film *Millennium of the Witch*. A millionaire tycoon and eugenicist, she founds the Khan Foundation and Kahn University. Publicly, these institutions train young psychics (ESPers) for benevolent purposes. Secretly, Khan aims to build an esper army to overthrow human galactic governments, establishing the "Millennium Kingdom" where ESPers rule humanity. She already commands over 200 trained ESPers.
Her strategy targets exceptionally gifted young women. Her most significant recruit is Jessica Orin, a prodigy designated an "Esper Killer" for her unique power to nullify other ESPers. To ensure Jessica's loyalty and weaponize her against Locke—a powerful esper who rejected Khan—she employs psychological manipulation. Khan implants false memories, making Jessica believe Locke murdered her parents and caused her facial scars, directing her hatred towards eliminating Khan's adversary.
To infiltrate the Galactic Federation and target Locke, Khan orchestrates Jessica's placement in a Federation hospital under the guise of amnesia. This positions Jessica to form a romantic relationship with Colonel Ryu Yamaki, Locke's primary Federation contact, intending for her to kill Locke when suppressed memories return. Khan's shadowy chief lieutenant, Cornelia Prim, manages Jessica's training and conditioning while Khan coordinates the broader uprising from the shadows.
Khan's ultimate defeat occurs aboard her massive spherical headquarters when Locke, Colonel Yamaki, and Jessica—freed from Khan's brainwashing—confront her. External threats force temporary cooperation for survival, leading to the collapse of her ambitions and the dismantling of her esper army. Lady Khan's appearance and role are specific to this film adaptation, with no information existing regarding other *Locke the Superman* media.
