Description
Ganga, formally named Ganigus Gagtos, hails from the planet Toledolega. His homeworld suffers a widespread fatal disease that drastically shortens lifespans, with most inhabitants dying before age thirty. As part of experimental medical efforts to combat this crisis, Ganga underwent a procedure replacing his blood with a specialized algae. This treatment represents a potential avenue for managing the planetary health emergency.

Driven by Toledolega's dire circumstances, Ganga seeks admission to the prestigious Cosmo Academy. His goal is to acquire advanced knowledge, resources, and credentials to develop a permanent cure or effective treatment for his people. Success in the Academy's final examination is essential, as it guarantees access to influential positions and significant resources within the Interstellar Alliance.

During the final examination aboard the derelict spaceship *Esperanza*, Ganga displays a consistently mature, responsible, and cooperative demeanor. He actively participates in problem-solving alongside fellow cadets, confronting critical threats like the ship's decaying orbit and the resulting dangerous rise in internal temperature. These conditions worsen tensions and create new challenges, including illness spreading among the crew.

Ganga forms a notable alliance with Tadatos Lane, the protagonist, offering steadfast support during the group's efforts to stabilize their situation and identify the mysterious eleventh member. His actions are characterized by reliability and a focus on collective survival over suspicion or conflict. His medical background and calm disposition establish him as a stabilizing influence within the diverse cadet group.

Following the *Esperanza* events, Ganga successfully completes the examination. He utilizes the opportunities granted by his graduation to pursue research and initiatives aimed at eradicating Toledolega's disease. His long-term commitment remains focused on alleviating his people's suffering through scientific and medical advancements.
