Description
Millianna is a character from the Fairy Tail series, introduced as one of Erza Scarlet's childhood friends from the Tower of Heaven. She was taken as a child and forced to build the R-System alongside Erza, Jellal Fernandes, Wally Buchanan, Sho, and Simon. After Erza inspired a revolt, the group attempted to escape, but Jellal, manipulated by Ultear Milkovich, sabotaged their ship and convinced the others that Erza had betrayed them. Millianna and her friends remained to finish the tower, and she later worked as one of Jellal's subordinates. After the events at the Tower of Heaven, she was deeply apologetic to Erza for her role. Seven years later, Millianna resurfaced as a mage of the all-female guild Mermaid Heel, having developed a strong desire for revenge against Jellal for enslaving her and for killing Simon. This motivation led her to join Mermaid Heel, where she found a kindred spirit in Kagura Mikazuchi, who harbored her own hatred for Jellal.
Millianna has a cheerful, peppy personality and a pronounced love for cats. She mimics cat-like behavior, from her appearance—complete with cat-like eyes, nose, mouth, styled hair resembling cat ears, and whisker-like tattoos—to meowing and dressing in cat-themed attire. This affection extends to refusing to harm anything that resembles a cat. Despite her playful demeanor, she harbors genuine anger and pain regarding her past, and she is fiercely loyal to her friends, particularly Erza and Kagura. She participates in the Grand Magic Games as a member of Mermaid Heel's team, initially hiding her identity under a hooded cloak before revealing herself to Erza. Their reunion is emotional, and Millianna explains her reason for joining Mermaid Heel. She eventually confronts Jellal during the chaos of the Eclipse arc, expressing her hatred but ultimately not following through on revenge, as the situation evolves.
Millianna's key relationships include Erza, whom she deeply cares for and whose forgiveness she sought; Kagura, with whom she shares a bond over their mutual desire for vengeance against Jellal; and Jellal himself, a former friend turned target of her resentment. She also maintains connections with the other surviving Tower of Heaven slaves, such as Wally and Sho. Over the course of the story, Millianna grows from a subservient minion into a more independent mage who confronts her traumatic past and fights alongside her guild.
Her notable abilities center around Binding Magic, which allows her to conjure and manipulate magical tubes called Nekosoku Tubes. She can fling these tubes to restrain opponents, constrict or stretch them on command, and even prevent the bound target from using magic. She also possesses a more powerful technique, Kitten Blast, which releases multiple tubes in a spiral motion with significant magical force. In close combat, Millianna is a capable hand-to-hand fighter, employing moves such as Scratch Attack, where she uses her sharp nails to slash opponents, and Cat Punch, a swift flurry of punches delivered while perched on an opponent's shoulders. Her fighting style often combines her Binding Magic with agile, cat-like movements.
