TV-Series
Description
Mutan, a refugee from the planet Sanno conquered by General Rambos's alien Waldasters, was displaced to Earth alongside fellow Sanno survivor Andro Umeda. Both joined Earth's resistance, the Space Knights led by Professor Amachi, to combat the Waldaster threat and protect humanity's future.
Resembling a cross between a squirrel and a duck, Mutan presents an innocent and adorable appearance. Despite this, Mutan possesses potent abilities: projecting heat rays from the eyes, emitting flames from the mouth, and demonstrating healing powers. Mutan can also transform into an energy shadow, moving beyond typical physical limits. Innate psychic senses detect malignant or hostile presences nearby, while enhanced senses like keen hearing and smell provide additional utility.
Aboard the spacecraft Blue Earth, Mutan serves in a support capacity within the Space Knights team, including Johji Minami (Tekkaman), Hiromi Amachi, and Andro Umeda. Mutan's unique sensory and psychic abilities prove valuable for reconnaissance and early threat detection during missions to repel Waldasters and search for a habitable "Second Earth." Mutan's background involves prior captivity on Sanno, forced to pilot a giant robot before escaping or being freed, an experience likely fostering commitment to the Space Knights' cause.
In the English adaptation, the character was referred to as "Computer," a name signifying no additional technological or computational abilities beyond those described. The character does not appear in sequel series, OVAs, or spin-offs such as *Tekkaman Blade*, *Tekkaman Blade II*, or the *Infini-T Force* crossover.
