Description
Marin Reigan, son of a prominent scientist on the ecologically ravaged planet S-1, flees his home after a military coup led by General Zeo Gattler destroys his father’s environmental restoration project and claims his life. Evading capture aboard an experimental subspace-capable spacecraft, Marin becomes ensnared in the warp field of Gattler’s mobile fortress, Algol, hurtling him to 22nd-century Earth. Confronted by Earth’s pristine landscapes, he shifts from vengeance to forging an uneasy alliance with the planetary defense unit Blue Fixer. His ship merges with their technology, forming the transforming mecha Baldios—Earth’s frontline shield against S-1’s invading forces. Despite initial distrust from Blue Fixer, Marin proves his loyalty through tactical brilliance and fierce commitment to safeguarding Earth’s ecosystems.

His resolve is tested by Aphrodia, an S-1 commander whose brother he killed during his escape. Their interactions blend rivalry with reluctant kinship, shaped by shared remorse over their worlds’ collision course. As S-1’s assaults escalate, Marin uncovers a temporal bond between the planets: Gattler’s invasion triggers the very ecological collapse that drove S-1 to target Earth, trapping Marin in a paradox where preserving Earth’s future seals S-1’s fate.

During the final confrontation, Gattler weaponizes Earth’s climate, unleashing cataclysmic tsunamis. Marin initiates Baldios’ self-destruct sequence within the enemy fleet, obliterating Algol and halting the invasion at the cost of his life. Earth survives, scarred but spared total annihilation, while Marin’s sacrifice crystallizes the narrative’s meditation on cyclical violence and ecological fragility.

His journey spans vengeful exile to reluctant hero, each choice underscoring the burdens of duty and the irreversible tides of time. Interactions with allies and adversaries alike dissect militarism’s costs, framing Marin as both architect and casualty of a destiny he struggles to redirect.
