Description
Larcade Dragneel is an Etherious demon crafted by Zeref in ancient attempts to revive Natsu Dragneel over 400 years ago. As the strongest of Zeref's flawed creations, he earned the surname "Dragneel," becoming a prototype for E.N.D. (Etherious Natsu Dragneel). Though artificial, Larcade genuinely believed himself Zeref's biological son due to this naming, addressing Zeref as "father" throughout his existence.

Larcade possesses a slender frame and pale skin. His spiky blond hair contrasts sharply with intense orange eyes, accentuated by white designs around the eyelids. A prominent white cross tattoo marks his forehead, and he bears the Alvarez Empire's symbol on his left shoulder. His attire features a golden kasaya robe with a rectangular pattern reminiscent of Natsu Dragneel's scarf, covering half his body, paired with dark capris and simple footwear. He accessorizes with a circular-pendant necklace and carries a large cross-shaped weapon on his back, contributing to a religious aesthetic.

His personality blends an apparent tranquil demeanor with underlying arrogance and emotional fragility. He often presents himself as peaceful and enlightened, using prayer-like gestures while espousing ideals like freeing "pure white souls" to ascend to heaven. He shows loyalty to Alvarez comrades, rescuing fellow Spriggan 12 member Dimaria and expressing admiration for friendship. However, he exhibits irresponsibility by skipping mandatory Spriggan 12 meetings and cold, manipulative behavior in combat. His deepest insecurity stems from Zeref's neglect, fueling intense jealousy toward Natsu Dragneel, whom Zeref openly treasured. This jealousy escalates into a desire to kill Natsu, hoping to become Zeref's sole focus. Larcade's emotional instability surfaces violently when Zeref rejects him, leading to tearful breakdowns.

Ranked third strongest within the Spriggan 12, surpassed only by August and Irene Belserion, Larcade's magic manipulates three primal human desires: pleasure, hunger, and sleep. His signature ability, "Pleasure," overwhelms targets with sensations so intense their souls detach, causing death; it primarily affects those who experienced "forbidden pleasures" but can target specific individuals regardless. "Soul of the Wicked Meal" induces uncontrollable hunger, driving victims to hallucinate allies as food; this can be countered by self-inflicted pain or strong willpower. His ultimate spell, "R.I.P.," forces irresistible drowsiness, with victims entering eternal slumber upon closing their eyes; unlike his other magics, this cannot be negated through pain. Larcade supplements these abilities with exceptional physical prowess, effortlessly parrying sword strikes with his fingers, tearing through flesh barehanded, and exhibiting high-speed reflexes. His immense magic power led Zeref to dub him a "secret weapon" potentially capable of defeating Acnologia due to its unique properties.

During the Alvarez Empire's invasion of Ishgar, Larcade annihilated alliances like Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus alongside Irene and Bloodman. After Universe One rearranged Fiore, he rescued Dimaria from Lamia Scale mages, sending their souls to heaven. At the Fairy Tail guild, he cast "Pleasure" across the battlefield, affecting allies and enemies, but halted when ordered telepathically by Zeref. He later battled Kagura Mikazuchi, overpowering her easily, and engaged Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney. Despite deploying "R.I.P.," he was defeated by their combined efforts. In a final attempt to aid Zeref against Natsu, he interrupted their duel by casting "R.I.P." on Natsu. Instead of capitalizing, Zeref mortally wounded Larcade, revealing him as merely a failed creation, not his son. As Larcade tearfully pleaded for acknowledgment, Zeref disintegrated him.

In the sequel series *Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest*, Larcade appears in an afterlife scenario, depicted as a young child residing in heaven with Zeref, Mavis Vermillion, August, and Natsu. His personality shifts to that of a playful, innocent boy who cherishes his family, including his "uncle" Natsu, though he remains a handful for his parents.
