Description
Nagisa Kanou is a 17-year-old Japanese high school student with petrol green hair and green eyes, initially craving a peaceful life as an ordinary, emotionally sensitive teenager. Her existence shatters when the alien Cthulhu invade Earth and Iczer-1 selects her as a synchronization partner, drawn by her capacity for intense emotions like trauma and rage needed to power the mecha Iczer Robo. Nagisa resists, blaming Iczer-1 for the chaos, and endures severe psychological distress witnessing classmates and teachers transform into parasitic Vedims during surreal school hallucinations.

The murder of her parents by Cthulhu Delvittse parasites becomes the catalyst for acceptance. Her overwhelming grief and rage during this trauma enable the first full synchronization with Iczer Robo, unleashing a devastating energy beam that destroys the enemy mecha Delos Theta and kills its pilot, Cobalt. As Earth descends into a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Nagisa demonstrates protective instincts by rescuing a young girl, Sayoko, from ruins. When Sayoko is nearly crushed by antagonist Iczer-2's mecha, Nagisa's maternal fury triggers another synchronization, obliterating Iczer-2's machine.

Later captured by Iczer-2, Nagisa succumbs to irreversible mind control, forcing Iczer-1 to kill her to prevent greater harm. In her dying moments, her spirit fully merges with Iczer-1, achieving perfect synchronization for the first time. This union empowers Iczer-1 to defeat the Cthulhu leadership. Nagisa's sacrifice indirectly enables Earth's restoration via a cosmic reset, erasing all invasion memories. She returns to her original student life, briefly encountering Iczer-1 without recognition before resuming her routine.

In sequels and spin-offs, Nagisa's legacy continues through descendants. Her granddaughter, Nagisa Kasumi, partners with Iczer-3 in *Adventure! Iczer-3* against Neo Gold, while *Iczer Girl Iczelion* features an alternate-reality Nagisa who aspires to professional wrestling and synchronizes with an android Iczel to defend Earth. These iterations inherit her emotional resilience without her direct experiences.
