Oswald A. Lisker, alias Guyver II, operates as a Chronos Corporation inspector, monitoring branch operations and spearheading the retrieval of bio-engineered Guyver units. Born into a politically connected family as the son of U.S. Senator Robert P. Lisker, he received rigorous combat training intended to prepare him for Hyper-Zoanoid conversion—a transition ultimately abandoned. Following the theft of three Guyver units, Chronos dispatched him to oversee the Japanese branch, where tensions flared with local director Genzo Makishima over operational shortcomings. During an evaluation of a recovered, damaged Guyver unit, the device unexpectedly activated, bonding with him and triggering his transformation into Guyver II. The compromised control medal induced sporadic system failures, warping his armor unpredictably and destabilizing his combat control. Despite these defects, his military discipline and martial prowess enabled him to harness the unit’s capabilities with lethal efficiency, outperforming Sho Fukamachi’s untested Guyver I in direct clashes. Driven by arrogance and ambition, Lisker coveted the Guyver’s power to ascend Chronos’ hierarchy, emboldened by its regenerative properties. Confident in his supremacy, he targeted rival hosts—Guyver I and III—to eliminate competition. His combat strategies leveraged the unit’s arsenal: high-frequency blades, sonic busters, and the mega-smasher. However, dependence on the faulty unit backfired during a pivotal clash with Sho. A critical control medal malfunction permitted Guyver I to destabilize the armor, inducing a self-destructive overload that consumed Lisker’s body. The 1992 OVA depicted his demise in its second episode, vaporized by Sho’s mega-smasher. The 2005 anime expanded his arc, concluding in the eighth episode as Chronos Japan’s headquarters collapsed, his body disintegrating autonomously without Sho’s direct strike. The live-action film reimagined him as a Zoanoid squad leader, existing in an alternate canon. His legacy extends to Valkyria Forsberg Lisker, his stepsister, who assumes the Guyver II-F mantle in spin-offs. Her experimental unit, reverse-engineered from his flawed armor, mirrors its instability, fueling her vendetta against Sho—a rivalry rooted in ambition, not kinship.
