Description
Brian Cooper holds the position of Secretary within the Lisvaletta military, projecting an image of legitimate authority. This public facade conceals his true role as Bamboo Man, a high-ranking operative in the criminal syndicate Esperanza, where he is identified as "B" on their hierarchical A-to-Z roster. As Bamboo Man, he sports a clown-like visage with rubies embedded as teeth and wields superhuman abilities—including enhanced strength, speed, and facial metamorphosis—derived independently of the drug Anthem.

He descends from genetically engineered super-soldiers originating on Nikai, the second celestial body visible in Lisvaletta’s sky. Nikai’s inhabitants developed Anthem to augment physical prowess but failed to perfect its formula, particularly an antidote preventing fatal "Overdrive" reactions. Cooper masterminded Esperanza’s distribution of Anthem across Earth, using the populace as test subjects while obscuring his involvement. His primary target is Kirill Vrubel, whose unique physiology—rooted in his background as a Nikai child refugee—naturally neutralizes Anthem.

To exploit Kirill, Cooper deceitfully invites him into the military under false pretenses of protection from other Nikai descendants, culminating in Kirill’s capture for DNA extraction to stabilize Anthem for super-soldiers. During a confrontation at a military base, Cooper takes Valery Vrubel hostage and shoots Doug Billingham, believing he has eliminated a key adversary. Unbeknownst to him, this is part of Seven-O’s counter-operation: Doug’s injury is staged, Valery’s capture is intentional, and Cooper is injected with adrenaline disguised as antibodies. Panicked, he administers a standard Anthem dose he mistakes for a specialized variant, triggering Overdrive due to his pre-existing enhancements. Doug subdues him with an antidote bullet.

In his final moments, Cooper attempts to activate the base’s self-destruct sequence, but Seven-O escapes. After his defeat, Nikai’s inhabitants dismiss him as their "weakest soldier," highlighting his failed ambitions. Cooper demonstrates ruthlessness and manipulation—demanding subordinates finish meals completely and leveraging his dual identities to control both Esperanza and military operations. He possesses dark brown hair and lilac eyes.
