Description
Yuna Kagurazaka was an ordinary 16-year-old student at Yokohama's Shiraokadai All-Girls' High School until her life transformed upon winning the intergalactic "Miss Ojousama Contest," propelling her into celebrity as an idol singer. Her destiny was revealed shortly after by Elner, the Matrix of Light, who identified Yuna as the "Savior of Light" tasked with defending the universe from darkness. This role granted her the ability to summon a photon-based battle suit, the Light Suit, equipped initially with the Matrix Divider beam cannon (later upgraded to Matrix Divider Plus) and the planet-destroying Mirage Cannon. She frequently piloted the Humongous Mecha El-Line, formed by merging Matrix of Light entities, in her battles.

Energetic and kind, Yuna is often perceived as an airhead due to occasional clumsiness and academic struggles. Her defining trait is befriending former enemies through empathy rather than force, consistently turning adversaries into allies. She possesses an unwavering commitment to protecting others, experiencing Unstoppable Rage when friends are harmed. Yuna harbors a fervent personal obsession with the superheroine Polylina the Masked Maiden, whom she idolizes as her "one and only love." Unaware of the running gag throughout the series, she never recognizes that Polylina is secretly portrayed by her close friend Lia, despite frequent interactions.

Yuna's resilience grew across her adventures. Wrongfully imprisoned in the first OVA after being accused of destroying a city with El-Line, she required allies like Misaki Ichijouin to clear her name. The sequel OVA, "Returns," depicted her confronting the robotic Devil Sisters and attempting to save the tragic Ayako despite her corruption. Ayako's death during "Lightning Angel" provoked Yuna's most intense rage, leading to the swift defeat of the responsible antagonist. In later installments, she assumed leadership roles like commanding the starship Eternal Princess and demonstrated tactical growth through her "Mirage Cannon" attack. Her ordinary family background included hidden elements, such as a secret base beneath her home used by Polylina.

Her legacy includes cameo appearances in titles like "Saturn Bomberman," retaining her Savior of Light persona. Physically, Yuna stands 158 cm tall with measurements of 78-56-82 cm and a birthdate of April 17, 2283. When enraged, her skin darkens except for her face, reflecting heightened emotional states.
