OVA
Description
Bankaku Suke is the husband of Banchiyo Suke and father of Banji Suke. He married Banchiyo while she was in fifth grade and he was in his first year of junior high school, resulting in Banchiyo being only 11 years older than their son. This age difference fuels complex family dynamics, particularly Banji's adolescent attraction toward his mother.
Consistently hot-headed and delinquent, Bankaku frequently loses jobs due to violent outbursts, such as assaulting executives or company directors. Combined with Banji's own expulsions, this forces the family into repeated relocations after being driven out of their neighborhoods. Both father and son share a deep fear of Banchiyo’s volatile temper, often fleeing her physical retribution.
In the OVA adaptation, Bankaku grows concerned about inappropriate sexual tension between Banji and Banchiyo. He worries over incidents like Banchiyo appearing near Banji in revealing clothing, heightening his anxiety about potential intimacy between them. His relationship with Banchiyo remains combative, featuring physical confrontations where she often overpowers him despite his fourth-degree judo black belt. Their marital interactions include abrupt reconciliations and public displays of affection in front of Banji.
After another forced move, Bankaku secures employment using a falsified resume. He inadvertently enrolls Banji at Amazon Academy as a female student due to an administrative error, dismissing Banji’s discomfort with crossdressing. Later, returning home to witness Banchiyo in a sexually suggestive state near Banji triggers another violent altercation where she physically assaults him.
In the *New Cutey Honey* spin-off, Bankaku is reimagined as Akakabu Hayami. He retains his comedic role and hot-headed personality, now married to Daiko Hayami. His characterization includes involvement in a failed bank heist and exaggerated resilience, enduring severe physical beatings without significant injury due to his body type.
