TV-Series
Description
Don Bossman, a Sorcerer, leads the Bravery Quartet. He emerges as a secondary antagonist in the Pompo Hills Arc before experiencing significant development. An older, muscular man standing above-average height, his flamboyant appearance features a white bodysuit with dark-red stripes, red star-patterned underwear, a long red cape adorned with yellow stars, a dark-red pointed hat, black glasses, and a single gold tooth. Gold rings, gemstones, and light brown shoes with bat-wing designs complete his look. He bears a curse manifesting as two purple bat-wings on his head and a zigzagged tail, typically hidden beneath his hat.

His personality is flamboyant, proud, and theatrical. He frequently makes boastful declarations about his leadership and orchestrates the Bravery Quartet into elaborate poses. Despite a generally jovial demeanor, he exhibits mild abuse towards subordinates, especially Julivert, whom he chokes, punches, or smacks for mistakes—actions usually portrayed comically rather than with true malice. Don places immense value on bravery, constantly coining words with "brave" as a prefix. Ironically, he often displays cowardice when directly threatened, though witnessing others' courageous acts can inspire his own bravery. He harbors deep resentment against non-infected humans, believing they exploit and discard Sorcerers, using this to justify crimes like theft and deception against them. Conversely, he shows greater empathy towards fellow Sorcerers, viewing them as "birds of the same feather."

During the Pompo Hills Arc, Don and the Quartet arrive pretending to rescue civilians from a Golem Nemesis. In the anime, he initially aids Seth by repelling the Nemesis with his "Bravery Destroyer" spell, later revealing his true intent by looting the town bank. In the manga, his deception involves falsely claiming gold protects villagers from Nemeses, leading them to the gold reserves for theft. Both versions depict him lecturing Seth on humanity's cruelty towards Sorcerers before his defeat. The manga concludes with Alma capturing the group and using an Identity Substitution Potion to make Don believe he is a chicken.

Following Pompo Hills, Alma rescues Don and his ally Jiji from a Nemesis on a nearby island. Witnessing Alma's selfless bravery inspires Don's reform. He and Jiji become Alma's assistants, traveling aboard her ship. En route to Caislean Merlin, they assist with menial tasks and comedic antics, marking their shift from former villainy. This redemption exemplifies the series' themes of personal growth and moral complexity.

Don possesses considerable physical strength, demonstrated in the manga by lifting a large slab of rock, and exhibits high durability, surviving a brutal beating from Seth. As a Sorcerer, he wields Fantasia through incantations and tools like Feathered Gauntlets. His signature spell, "Bravery Destroyer," fires a powerful energy beam capable of repelling Nemeses. He possesses knowledge of multiple spell-casting methods and expresses frustration at Seth's unconventional magic use.
