Zolba stands as the primary antagonist of the narrative and the military minister of the world Slaffleaze. He effectively controls the kingdom by manipulating its puppet king. A tyrannical and villainous leader, he directs his forces to oppress the peasant population.

His central ambition is the conquest of Earth, which his people call Capricorn. To achieve this, he intends to wield a powerful artifact known as the Infinity Anchor. This device would forge a bridge between worlds for his invasion force, though its use carries a prophesied risk of mass destruction for both planets.

A key obstacle to his plan is Mona, the last of the Yappie—an ancestral, dragon-like guardian race of Slaffleaze. Her innate power to create stable bridges between worlds is essential for a safe crossing, and so Zolba also seeks to capture her to further his ambitions.

Zolba possesses a cat-like appearance, consistent with the anthropomorphic inhabitants of Slaffleaze. His actions serve as the primary catalyst for the conflict, compelling the protagonist, Taku Shimamura, to ally with the oppressed peasants and the last Yappie to oppose him.
