Yuri Onagara is the daughter of Professor Onagara, a researcher into ESP phenomena. She possesses significant esper abilities, including clairvoyance, telepathy, and precognition. A past fire caused severe burns, leaving her blind, deaf, and mute. She lives with her grandfather, Dr. Onagara, who became a virtual recluse after a commercial connection with Talon. Her shy granddaughter, Yumi Onagara, also experiences accurate precognitive dreams. Yuri and her family became targets when Talon agents, including Sonnet and Dr. Merikus, surrounded their house. Dr. Merikus ordered their execution, but Sonnet secretly intercepted the bullets. Talon agents then set the house ablaze. Yuri, her father, and his assistant were rescued by Wataru Komatsuzaki and Shūichi Torigai (Bird). Following the attack, she aligns with Lan Komatsuzaki as an ally, sharing the intent to combat the organization Talon. Her role involves applying her esper abilities to this opposition effort.
