TV-Series
Description
Seravy, the world's greatest magician, serves as primary guardian and magic teacher to protagonist Chacha, residing with her in a cottage on Mochi-mochi Mountain. He possesses shoulder-length green hair, gray eyes, and typically wears a white wizard robe with brown flats. Formerly captain of the royal guards for a kingdom's castle, he fled with infant Chacha during an attack by the demon king Daimaō, while the king sacrificed himself to hold off the enemy. This established his long-term role as Chacha's protector.
He carries a doll named Elizabeth, resembling his childhood friend Dorothy in her youth. Elizabeth frequently springs to life through Seravy's ventriloquism, often delivering his teasing remarks about Dorothy's appearance or temperament. Seravy's romantic history centers entirely on Dorothy; he harbored strong childhood affections for her when she had curly blonde hair. His feelings shifted dramatically after Dorothy transformed her hair into straight red locks, a change he detests. This originated when Seravy accidentally struck Dorothy with a conjured bouquet meant to congratulate her on becoming the world's greatest magician, causing him to inherit the title instead. Their relationship remains strained for years due to his fear of her altered appearance and her resultant anger.
Throughout Chacha's journey, Seravy provides crucial magical tools, including the Princess Medallion enabling her Magical Princess transformation. He frequently intervenes in her adventures using masterful disguises to assist her and her friends during peril, showcasing his protective nature. His magic reverses curses like healing amnesia or undoing transformations inflicted on Chacha and her companions. His residence is noted for frequent damage or destruction.
Seravy's character culminates in reconciling with Dorothy. After numerous collaborative efforts supporting Chacha and defeating Daimaō as one of the eight Holy Warriors, their relationship evolves. By the series conclusion, they become engaged, resolving their longstanding tensions.
