Description
Piodon, a figure within the Inquisition and Conversos, sports loose hair, small horns mirroring Seth’s, and a cross-shaped scar etched across his forehead. His signature black tunic, cloak, feathered gloves, and messenger bag accompany an eerie capacity to cast spells unaided, a twisted gift from his infection. Portrayed ambiguously as the elder brother of Seth, Diabal, and Triton, he weaves through their lives with calculated influence.
His first encounter with Seth in Rumble Town ignites a destructive force within the younger sibling, leaving Seth plagued by visions he resists out of terror. Diabal endures a harsher fate: Piodon tutors him in harnessing Fantasia to revive a malevolent entity, then betrays him to the Inquisition’s torturers, scarring Diabal’s body and psyche with enduring dread. Triton faces analogous manipulation, though his present circumstances linger in shadow.
Aligned with General Torque’s vision of world transformation through violence, Piodon opts for psychological dominion and tactical treachery. He isolates his siblings, weaponizing guilt and fear to cement control—a tactic starkly evident in Diabal’s torment and hinted in Triton’s obscured arc. Flashbacks in Volume 8 hint at a youth steeped in covert schemes.
By stripping a bandage to unleash Seth’s berserk state, Piodon exposes his knack for awakening and magnifying hidden darkness, thrusting Seth into crises that strain his grip on Fantasia and humanity. Though his ultimate ambitions within the Inquisition remain veiled, his relentless destabilization of allies and enemies alike cements him as a manipulative linchpin in the narrative’s clash of power and selfhood.
